Worst concert I’ve ever been to
"I need to address this disappointment, as I never leave reviews, but maybe I just need to vent. I don’t have George Balanchine's The Nutcracker's contact info, so I was disappointed. I love every George Balanchine's The Nutcracker song I’ve ever heard, but at this concert, I hadn’t heard a single one. So disappointing. Nothing but bluesy, jazz songs. Seemed more like instrumentals, OK for a couple but every single one had a long organ, guitar, sax, and trumpet solo. Cool for a couple but they went on and on and on. No Moondance, no Into the Mystic, no Brown Eyed Girl, no Stranded, no Tupelo Honey. He didn’t play one single hit. I was looking forward to this concert for a year as he cancelled the first show due to covid. No longer a George Balanchine's The Nutcracker fan, sad to say. He just walks off the stage at the end. Odd. No thank you, no goodnight, just walks off and never comes back. All I wanted was to hear a couple of familiar songs."

I have to say this was one of the best shows I have ever seen. The stage set was visually exciting. She interacted with the audience and did some incredible stunts on stage. She sang live and sounded great. I had high hopes for this show but she total went way past my expectations. I have attended many concerts/ shows in my life. I'm a huge Madonna fan and thought no one could come close to her in concert. George Balanchine's The Nutcracker is following in her footsteps and I would suggest to everyone to go see her if you have the chance.
Poor production, great voice
"George Balanchine's The Nutcracker had a unique and great charisma, but the poorly designed production and poor acoustics lessened the concert. Who designed this? The 3 main video screens were angled above the orchestra for only those in the front center section, leaving out the other 60% of viewers on the left and right. The speakers were also aligned in a similar way, resulting in underwhelming sound as well.
A few years back in New Orleans, we saw the Police Reunion concert which was visually and musically amazing and powerful. That was a 10, I'd give this a 5 1/2. The orchestra part worked very well on a few songs and much less so on others."

"George Balanchine's The Nutcracker is truly magical. Sit within the first 10 rows and towards center for best experience. My whole family saw him on AGT the year he won so we all went to see him on Sept. 1, 2026. Don't miss him! My 21 year old twins loved him and every time I looked over at them, they were all smiles! George Balanchine's The Nutcracker is fabulous, relevant, funny as all get out, got a great presence and is unbelievably talented. What just happened with everything he does? How is what he does possible? This is an excellent show!"
